Carl Fredricksen dream of going to Paradise Falls. It seems that his dream has been compromised when a series of events lands him an eviction notice to an old folks home. Before he could be taken away, he ties thousands of balloons to his house and sets off to see the lost world of his childhood dreams. Unbeknownst to Carl, he has a stove away named Russell an 8 year old boy whose trying to get an assisting the elderly badge. The world’s most unlikely duo reach new heights and meet fanatic friends like Dug, a dog with a special collar that allows him to speak, and Kevin, a rare 13-foot tall flightless bird. This movie will leave you knowing that sometimes life’s biggest adventures aren’t the ones you set out looking for.
I adore this movie. You are sure to fall in love with each character. The soundtrack by Michael Giacchino won best original score in the 2009 Academy Awards. The music and the animation is incredible. It is a film that is sure to bring a smile to your face and warm your heart.

The Fantastic Mr. Fox

Posted by Rik on Saturday, February 13th, 2010

It is the story of one Mr. Fox and his wild-ways of hen heckling, turkey taking and cider sipping, nocturnal, instinctive adventures. He has to put his wild days behind him and do what fathers do best: be responsible. He is too rebellious. He is too wild. He is going to try “just one more raid” on the three nastiest, meanest farmers that are Boggis, Bunce and Bean. It is a tale of crossing the line of family responsibilities and midnight adventure and the friendships and awakenings of this country life that is inhabited by Fantastic Mr. Fox and his friends.
